Do you buy untested server RAM pulls?
Yes, untested pulls are worth sending. We review tested inventory, untested pulls, mixed-grade components, and as-is hardware, and value each lot on condition, quantity, and whatever documentation exists. Telling us plainly that a lot is untested tends to speed up review rather than slow it down.
Do SSDs need to be wiped before I sell them?
We prefer inventory that has already completed the seller's sanitization, wiping, or release process before it ships. GRL Hardware does not perform or certify data destruction, so the wipe stays with you under your own procedures. Noting wipe status alongside serial numbers and SMART data helps with valuation.
Is there a minimum lot size for bulk RAM or SSDs?
We don't publish a fixed minimum. Our interest is in bulk lots rather than single units, and whether a specific lot fits depends on model mix, quantity, capacity, condition, and current resale demand. Send the manifest to hello@griverlabs.com and we will review what you have.
Do you buy from sellers outside Michigan?
Yes. GRL Hardware is based in Detroit, MI, and we review lots from sellers outside the state. Location is one of the details we ask for, since it factors into shipping cost rather than ruling a lot out. Shipping or pickup terms are worked out case by case for suitable lots.
How do you decide what a lot is worth?
Valuation comes down to current resale demand for the specific models in a lot, weighed against condition, grade, and quantity. Purchase interest depends on those factors, so the same part number can be worth different amounts at different times. For suitable lots we provide a purchase offer and coordinate next steps for payment, shipping, or pickup.
